Responsibilities
- Manage month-end/quarter-end close processes for assigned portfolios
- Prepare complex financial statements and variance analysis reports
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and reconciliation processes
- Lead internal control audits and SOX compliance documentation
- Develop tax strategies and support external tax preparation
- Implement process improvements using automation tools (QuickBooks Online, Xero)
- Mentor junior accountants and provide financial insights to client stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance + CPA license (required)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, macros)
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Remote work experience and self-discipline
- Excellent communication for client-facing interactions
