Responsibilities
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial statements are accurate and compliant with GAAP.
- Manage general ledger reconciliation, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, variance analyses, and budget projections for executive leadership.
- Conduct internal audits and coordinate with external auditors to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Streamline accounting processes and implement best practices to improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business decision-making through financial insights.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of US tax laws and financial regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a remote setting.
