The Role:
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You will play a key role in our strategic financial planning and analysis processes.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timely reconciliation of accounts.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Prepare and file federal and state tax returns, ensuring full compliance with tax regulations.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and recommend cost-saving measures.
- Assist in the annual audit process by providing requested documentation and explanations.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax laws, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced remote or hybrid environment.
