Responsibilities
- Oversee the full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Manage bank reconciliations and identify discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records.
- Assist with the preparation of year-end audits and tax filings in collaboration with external auditors and tax specialists.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency of our financial reporting systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting firm or a high-volume corporate environment.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong working knowledge of US tax laws, financial reporting standards, and internal controls.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced remote setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
