Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end financial reporting, including balance sheets, P&L statements, and cash flow analysis.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure strict compliance with UK GAAP and HMRC tax regulations.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and file VAT returns and other statutory filings as required.
- Assist in the budgeting process and provide variance analysis to senior management.
- Review and approve invoices, ensuring proper authorization and coding.
Qualifications
- ACCA, CIMA, ACA qualified or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar accounting role, preferably within a remote or hybrid environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and ERP systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
