Job Overview
As our Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records and managing the full cycle of accounting operations from a remote setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes efficiently and accurately.
- Conduct thorough reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledgers.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly VAT returns and corporate tax filings.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions with a high degree of accuracy.
- Implement internal controls to mitigate financial risk and ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and analysis.
Qualifications
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in a corporate accounting environment.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
