Responsibilities
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reports.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist with the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, resolving discrepancies and managing vendor relationships.
- Conduct internal audits and process improvements to enhance financial controls and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment.
