Responsibilities
- Manage month-end close processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Lead audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations
- Develop and implement financial models for forecasting and budgeting
- Mentor junior accountants and optimize financial workflows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic financial initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems (Sage 100 experience a plus)
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Exceptional communication skills for remote collaboration
