Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements for Milwaukee-based clients
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closes
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and industry-specific financial regulations
- Develop and implement streamlined accounting workflows using QuickBooks and Xero
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable financial insights to stakeholders
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and cash flow management
- Collaborate with auditors during financial examinations and compliance reviews
- Mentor junior accounting staff on best practices and technical skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with remote work exposure
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, and Microsoft Excel
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Proven experience managing month-end closing processes and reconciliations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while meeting deadlines
