Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to GAAP, IRS regulations, and California-specific tax laws
- Account Reconciliation: Manage complex GL reconciliations and intercompany transactions
- Process Improvement: Streamline accounting workflows using QuickBooks Online and SAP
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior accountants and coordinate cross-departmental projects
- Client Advisory: Provide financial insights to Sacramento-area businesses
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel
- Deep knowledge of California tax regulations and payroll compliance
- Proven experience with multi-state financial operations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
