Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and UK GAAP.
- Ensure timely and accurate VAT returns and corporation tax computations.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Conduct regular audits and ensure internal controls are maintained.
Qualifications
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent) is essential.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar finance role within the UK.
- Strong knowledge of UK tax laws, VAT, and HMRC regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing statutory accounts and financial reports.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote environment.
