Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Manage accounts payable/receivable and general ledger reconciliations
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and state-specific regulations
- Lead audit coordination and tax preparation activities
- Implement process improvements for financial workflows
- Mentor junior accounting staff on best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Excel
- Strong knowledge of CA tax laws and compliance
- Proven experience with multi-state accounting operations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Remote work experience with demonstrated self-motivation
