In this position, you will ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records during the overnight close process. You will work closely with the management team to streamline accounting procedures and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and receivable transactions with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Perform month-end and year-end reconciliations for multiple bank accounts and credit cards.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including the Balance Sheet and P&L.
- Review and post journal entries to the general ledger to ensure all accounts are properly valued.
- Conduct internal audits and variance analysis to identify discrepancies and recommend solutions.
- Maintain and organize all fiscal documentation in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with the payroll team to ensure accurate processing of employee expenses and reimbursements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Must be available to work a night shift schedule (e.g., 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM).
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and high accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
