Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including variance analysis and reconciliations.
- Supervise the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, managing a team of junior accountants.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and implement process improvements to enhance financial controls.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial forecasting and budget analysis support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in accounting, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
