Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounting cycles including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Lead statutory compliance adhering to UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Oversee VAT returns, payroll processing, and corporate tax submissions
- Develop and implement robust internal controls for financial risk mitigation
- Analyze financial data to provide strategic insights to senior stakeholders
- Mentor junior accountants and optimize accounting workflows
- Collaborate with audit teams during external examinations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance; ACCA/CMA/ACA qualification essential
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience with UK commercial exposure
- Expertise in Xero/Sage 50 and advanced Excel modeling
- Proven track record in month-end close and statutory reporting
- Deep understanding of UK tax legislation and compliance frameworks
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong stakeholder management and presentation abilities
