Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements on a monthly basis, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Assist in the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights into financial trends.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and internal company policies.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close procedures, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits to provide necessary documentation and support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with non-financial stakeholders.
