Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Oversee general ledger operations and ensure accurate reconciliation of accounts
- Coordinate external audits and maintain compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
- Develop and implement financial models for forecasting and budgeting
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial strategy and business development
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate accounting
- Expertise in financial reporting, auditing, and tax compliance
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills for presenting financial insights to stakeholders
- Experience managing accounting teams and process optimization
- Knowledge of California state tax regulations
