What You Will Do:
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and strict compliance with GAAP standards.
- Lead the monthly and annual closing processes, preparing detailed and accurate financial statements.
- Perform complex account reconciliations and conduct variance analysis to drive business insights.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with department heads to forecast budgets, analyze cash flows, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain and update internal accounting software and internal control systems.
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff on best practices and software usage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA certification is a strong plus).
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel (advanced functions like VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables), and enterprise ERP systems.
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and current tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
