Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end monthly and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow reports.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Assist in external audits and internal control reviews, preparing necessary schedules and documentation.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and filing requirements.
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting firm or corporate environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Advanced functions) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite).
- Strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team structure.
