Responsibilities
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger close procedures to ensure financial statements are accurate and timely.
- Prepare detailed financial reports, including Balance Sheets and Profit & Loss statements, for management review.
- Perform bank reconciliations and verify the accuracy of account balances.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including GAAP and IRS tax requirements.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns and supporting schedules.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits to provide necessary documentation and support.
- Conduct variance analysis and assist in the creation of annual budgets and forecasts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle).
- Advanced knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and financial modeling.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively present complex financial data.
