Responsibilities
- Execute full-cycle accounting operations including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes with strict adherence to deadlines
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process optimization
- Collaborate with audit teams to ensure compliance with SOX regulations and internal controls
- Lead accounts payable/receivable workflows and oversee fixed asset management
- Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting and budgeting initiatives
- Mentor junior accounting staff and implement continuous improvement strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years progressive experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise and Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Demonstrated experience with multi-state tax compliance and sales/use tax filings
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial modeling
- Strong understanding of GAAP, SOX, and SEC reporting requirements
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage competing priorities in deadline-driven environments
