Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP.
- Manage end-to-end VAT returns and ensure full HMRC compliance.
- Oversee the general ledger and perform variance analysis on budgets versus actuals.
- Lead the audit process, liaising with external auditors and providing requested documentation.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and accurate invoicing.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end financial reports and tax computations.
Qualifications
- ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a senior accounting role within the UK.
- Proficient in accounting software (Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong knowledge of UK tax legislation, including Corporation Tax and PAYE.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
