Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close processes and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights to leadership
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare and file accurate tax documents while ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Implement and optimize internal controls to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in GAAP compliance and financial statement preparation
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel with complex functions
- Proven track record of managing month-end closing processes
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder collaboration
- Experience with SOX compliance and internal audits
