Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- Manage general ledger accounts and perform complex account reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accuracy and timely reporting.
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring full compliance with tax regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and provide actionable recommendations for process improvements and cost reduction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity within accounting software systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables) and accounting software.
- In-depth knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles and federal/state tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively present financial information to stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
