Responsibilities
- Oversee the full-cycle accounting process, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Manage bank reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of all financial data.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns and facilitate external audits.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with management to provide insights on financial performance and budget variances.
- Streamline financial reporting workflows to improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, financial reporting standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
