The Role
As a Billing Specialist, you will be the backbone of our accounts receivable department. You will manage invoicing processes, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate financial records. We value precision and efficiency, and we are looking for a professional who takes pride in their work.
Responsibilities
- Process and post high-volume invoices accurately and efficiently on a daily basis.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies and inquiries in a timely manner.
- Monitor account status to ensure timely collection of outstanding payments.
- Maintain and update billing records and databases with the highest level of accuracy.
- Collaborate with the sales and collections teams to address customer concerns and improve payment processes.
- Prepare and generate monthly billing reports for management review.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and relevant financial regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a similar financial role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (pivot tables and formulas are a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot errors quickly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interactions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
