Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end monthly and annual financial closing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all reconciliations are completed accurately.
- Assist in the preparation of annual statutory accounts in accordance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Support the external audit process by providing requested documentation and schedules.
- Monitor budget vs. actual performance and provide variance analysis to management.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and internal policies.
Qualifications
- ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or AAT qualified (or equivalent practical experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar Senior Accountant role.
- Strong working knowledge of UK GAAP and statutory reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines in a high-volume environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
