We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in the heart of London. Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end monthly and annual accounting cycle, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
- Prepare and review statutory financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Manage VAT returns and ensure timely submission to HMRC.
- Perform complex bank reconciliations and investigate and resolve variances.
- Liaise with external auditors and provide necessary documentation for audits.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and rolling forecasts.
- Mentor junior finance staff and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in a UK-based environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Sage, Xero, or NetSuite.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups) and financial modeling.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a high-volume environment.
