Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end closes and financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements for diverse client portfolios
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes with 3+ staff members
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and state-specific tax regulations
- Implement and optimize accounting software systems (QuickBooks, SAP)
- Lead internal audits and process improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with CFO on strategic financial planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software
- Proven experience with multi-state tax compliance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Detroit metro area residency required
