Role Overview: As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in managing our clients' financial health, ensuring compliance, and driving operational efficiency. This is an immediate hire opportunity for a candidate who excels in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
- Accounts Management: Oversee general ledger activities, including accounts payable and receivable, reconciliation of bank accounts, and month-end close procedures.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial reporting and tax filings are completed accurately and on time in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs for clients.
- Team Collaboration: Mentor junior staff and collaborate with tax and audit teams to support client engagements.
- Forecasting: Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is a plus).
- Experience: 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, preferably within a public accounting firm or corporate environment.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), and accounting software.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Integrity: Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion and high ethical standards.
