Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation of annual federal and state tax returns, ensuring timely filing and accuracy.
- Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and variance analysis to identify discrepancies and trends.
- Support external auditors during the annual audit process and ensure all documentation is organized.
- Oversee fixed asset tracking, depreciation schedules, and inventory valuation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- 3-5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting firm or corporate environment.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or CPA candidate status is highly preferred.
- Proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
