Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and reconciliations.
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate payments.
- Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis to support financial planning.
- Conduct internal audits and implement controls to prevent financial discrepancies.
- Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process.
- Utilize accounting software (such as QuickBooks or Xero) to manage financial data efficiently.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or ACCA qualification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar accounting role, with a focus on financial reporting and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
