Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain financial records, including general ledger accounts, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP
- Conduct variance analysis and financial reporting to support business decision-making
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with VAT returns and corporation tax filings
- Oversee payroll processing and pension scheme administration
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audit processes
- Develop and implement financial controls and process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (ACA/ACCA qualified preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience in UK regulatory environment
- Proficiency in accounting software (Sage, Xero, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills
- Deep knowledge of UK GAAP, HMRC regulations, and corporate tax compliance
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
- Proven experience managing month-end and year-end closing processes
