Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate monthly and quarterly closings.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure compliance with state and federal tax regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and inter-company transactions.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes and monitor daily cash flow.
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff members to foster team development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software (NetSuite, QuickBooks, or Sage).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
