Job Summary
The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and examine monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure strict adherence to federal, state, and local legal and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end tax returns and supporting documentation.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Perform variance analysis and assist in budget preparation and forecasting.
- Maintain and update the fixed asset register.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is preferred).
- 3+ years of progressive experience in general accounting or financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
