Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable reconciliation.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Cost Management: Monitor budget vs. actuals and provide insights to management to optimize financial performance.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities adhere to federal, state, and local regulations.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the CFO and external auditors to facilitate smooth audits and financial reviews.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to internal accounting processes and software systems.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to manage complex data and ensure accuracy in all financial documentation.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Proven track record of identifying discrepancies and resolving financial issues efficiently.
