Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements on a monthly basis, resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax returns, coordinating with external auditors and tax professionals.
- Conduct monthly close procedures and assist in budget preparation and variance analysis.
- Maintain accurate fixed asset registers and manage depreciation schedules.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and federal tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
