Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure timely filing with state and federal authorities.
- Conduct regular bank reconciliations and variance analysis to identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop and maintain the annual budget and forecast models.
- Maintain and organize financial records and documentation for audit purposes.
- Provide technical accounting support and guidance to junior staff members.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA certification is highly preferred but not required for exceptional candidates.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities, capable of presenting complex financial data clearly.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
