Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Conduct monthly and annual audits, coordinating with external auditors to ensure a seamless process.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable operations, including reconciling bank statements and managing vendor relationships.
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process, providing variance analysis and recommendations for cost control.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations by preparing and filing necessary tax returns.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree (CPA/MBA) preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with a strong background in financial analysis and reporting.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and regulatory compliance standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting financial findings to non-financial stakeholders.
