Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Oversee the full cycle of month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
- Manage general ledger reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and intercompany eliminations.
- Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors during annual audits.
- Prepare management accounts and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Maintain accurate fixed asset registers and ensure compliance with HMRC guidelines.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities for the organization.
Qualifications
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification (fully qualified or finalist).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role within the UK finance sector.
- Strong working knowledge of accounting software (Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Deep understanding of UK tax legislation and financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of liaising with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
