Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial operations, including general ledger entries, account reconciliation, and financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for executive review.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process, providing variance analysis and insights to leadership.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Collaborate with external auditors during year-end audits and internal control reviews.
- Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA candidate is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and internal control frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with a high degree of attention to detail.
