Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including GL maintenance, month-end close, and financial reporting
- Implement and optimize daily pay systems for 500+ employees across the Pacific Northwest
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to senior leadership
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and evolving state/federal regulations
- Lead process improvement initiatives using ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Mentor junior accountants and cross-functional teams
- Collaborate with audit teams during quarterly and annual reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public or private companies
- Expertise in daily payroll processing and multi-state compliance
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP platforms (SAP/Oracle)
- Proven track record in month-end closes and financial statement preparation
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience managing accounting teams of 3+ professionals
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
