Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and support external audits.
- Maintain and reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve financial reporting accuracy.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and support budgeting processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
- 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance (preferred).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
