Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 client accounts including A/P, A/R, and payroll processing
- Prepare monthly financial statements with variance analysis and reconciliations
- Maintain and balance general ledger accounts with month-end closing procedures
- Process sales tax filings and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Collaborate with CPA firms during audits and tax season preparation
- Implement and optimize accounting software workflows (QuickBooks Online preferred)
- Train junior staff on bookkeeping best practices and system operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with multi-client portfolios
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and Texas tax regulations
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining 100% accuracy
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification preferred
