Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounting cycles, including month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and review accurate financial statements, trial balances, and management reports.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll and statutory payments.
- Handle VAT returns, corporation tax computations, and compliance with HMRC regulations.
- Conduct detailed bank reconciliations and credit control activities.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and liaise with external auditors.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support for senior management decision-making.
Qualifications
- ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or AAT qualified (or equivalent professional qualification).
- Minimum of 4 years of post-qualification experience in a UK-based finance environment.
- Strong working knowledge of accounting software (Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks).
- Deep understanding of UK tax laws, IR35, and corporation tax rules.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data clearly.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
