Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping tasks, including reconciling bank statements, credit cards, and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP standards.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
- Assist in the annual budget preparation and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory reporting requirements.
- Conduct internal audits to identify financial risks and improve processes.
- Collaborate with the finance team to implement financial software and automation tools.
Qualifications
- CCAB qualified or equivalent (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a UK-based corporate environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Daily Pay systems or payroll processes is a plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, able to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
