Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Ensure compliance with UK tax legislation, including VAT and corporation tax filings.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify financial discrepancies and recommend solutions.
- Assist with year-end audits and liaison with external auditors.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts on a regular basis.
Qualifications
- ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or AAT qualified (or equivalent professional qualification).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in a UK accounting environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK tax laws, financial regulations, and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills, capable of liaising with clients and stakeholders.
