Responsibilities
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring all financial statements are accurate and compliant with GAAP standards.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Manage general ledger accounting, including reconciling accounts, processing journal entries, and resolving discrepancies.
- Assist in the annual audit process, coordinating with external auditors and providing necessary documentation.
- Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts to support organizational goals and financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in general accounting or financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial analysis principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
