Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring full compliance with GAAP.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciling general ledger accounts and identifying variances.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices and collections.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns, maintaining strict adherence to tax regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and minimize risk.
- Prepare budget forecasts and assist management in strategic financial planning.
- Utilize advanced Excel skills to create financial models and data analysis reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in general accounting or financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of financial laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
