Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Manage the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries are posted correctly and monthly reconciliations are completed on time.
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, including variance analysis and reporting.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring full compliance.
- Conduct internal audits and financial reviews to identify risks and implement control measures.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop budgets and financial forecasts.
- Prepare and analyze financial data to provide actionable insights to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and federal/state tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
